| Title: The Rosette Nebula
Source: NASA Information: The Rosette Nebula, NGC 2237 (the nebula) and NGC 2244 (the star cluster in the center of the nebula), in the constellation Monoceros is one of the largest nebulae known. It is about 55 light years across. The clear area in the center of the nebula, which contains the cluster, is probably darker due to the exhaustion of the nebula material by stars forming in the cluster. |
